Michel Buron - CEO & Founder

Michel Buron, CEO of KYOTOenergy, has worked in the Asian region for more than 18 years with his first assignment in Singapore and Thailand where he was responsible for the operation of a large European technology company specialising in environmental projects. During this period, Michel rapidly gained knowledge and experience in the wastewater and waste to energy sectors in the region.

In 2002, Michel founded KYOTOenergy Pte Ltd in Singapore. The company started by providing consultancy services in the environment and renewable energy sectors, before Michel steered the company into becoming a quality originator of emission reduction projects.

As CEO of KYOTOenergy, Michel manages the operations of the company, including strategy mapping and the execution of project deliverables. With his strong CDM experience in various industries, Michel has managed and lead numerous projects in different regions successfully.

He is a sought after speaker and writer and has written several articles on CDM, climate change and environmental issues.

Michel holds a merit in Master of Science and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious University of Leuven in Belgium.
