Funthiastic, Challenging and Fast!…….That’s how our new recruit, Miss Syafiza Abdul Hashib, CDM Project Executive sums up her experience with us since joining our Kuala Lumpur office on 1 March 2007 “Kyotoenergy is definitely different. I am moving in a fast pace environment. I should be able to apply the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People efficiently in Kyotoenergy’s environment,” says Syafiza enthusiastically. For someone who has to balance her time and priorities between work and part-time study in Masters in Environmental Engineering, this is what she has to say : “It is really very tough to balance both priorities. I work on this principle - Daytime for Kyotoenergy and Night time for my studies. I am on a high learning curve and I learn a lot through the “learning by doing” way. I am expected to work independently and therefore, have been doing a lot of things on my own. I have nice colleagues around me and they make me feel no different even though I am new to the organisation”. A bubbly, enthusiastic and high spirited lady, Syafiza loves the greenery and outdoor activities. In one of her travels to the project site in Lahad Datu, Sabah, she was overwhelmed by the beauty, serenity and adventure as she traveled from Tawau to Lahad Datu. “This 1 hour on a 4-wheel drive was like a Camel Trophy Challenge. All along the way, I enjoyed the ride and scenery – green all the way. The assignments in Kyotoenergy are really challenging and stimulating. The way I take it is to have the “I can do it” approach. Of course, I have guidance and support from Michel and we skype quite often to discuss work and issues”. By the way, Funthiastic is Syafiza’s equation of Fun + Enthusiastic! Syafiza, glad to have you in the Kyotoenergy family! |
